Shop Management Alliance, provider of education, networking and consulting for the auto and truck repair industry, to host free online Profit First workshop to cut shop expenses during COVID-19.
Glendale, United States - April 17, 2020 /PressCable/ —
Shop Management Alliance, a top auto and truck repair shop consulting and training company has announced that they will be hosting a Profit First Expense Analysis online workshop on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at 2 PM Eastern Time for shop owners and managers in an effort to help them control expenses and remain profitable in the face of the global COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Niklas (Nick) Rahkonen, President of Shop Management Alliance, “As essential businesses, our clients in the auto and truck repair industry are needed now more than ever. Our vehicle repair shop clients are responsible for making sure that first responders and other essential workers can get to work each day. These personal and service vehicles need to be safe and well maintained to transport workers safely and deliver and restock our food supplies with essential items.” He went on to say, “With the stay at home orders imposed across our country, many of our shops have felt the pinch and it is now our responsibility to help those shops weather this financial storm so that they can continue to remain open and service our nation’s vehicles.”
Continuing, Nick explained that the system presented by Mike Michalowicz in the book Profit First is a simple, workable way to grow any business profitably. “That’s why we invested in sending our board member, Christopher T. Lawson to the Profit First Certification training so we could have a Certified Profit First Professional on staff to serve our members. Chris has the job of making sure that all of our member shops build and maintain profitable businesses using the Profit First Principals.”
The free online workshop will walk shop owners and managers through the Profit First expense audit process. The goal of this process is to analyze all of the expenses on a shop’s P&L statement and differentiate between costs and investments in daily spending.
According to Profit First Professional’s research in working with over 10,000 small businesses, most businesses can cut between 10%-25% of expenses without jeopardizing the quality of service or product delivery. This allows businesses to ensure that they are using their current revenue to its highest potential.
This workshop will also touch on Profit First’s “Recession Response” tools that have been provided to help small business owners emerge from this crisis with a healthy business that generates sales, profit, and order.
According to workshop leader Chris Lawson, “My goal for all shop owners and managers who participate in the workshop is to have them leave the webinar with a sense of confidence that comes from knowing that they are doing everything they can to make their shops lean and efficient so they can come out of this economic downturn stronger than ever.“ He added, “The shops that do this work now are going to be able to take advantage of the opportunities that the less prepared shops will leave behind.”
