Brooks Eye Associates has announced that Connor Smith, M.D., will join their practice as a full-time glaucoma and cataract surgeon. Dr. Smith specializes in minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS), which further solidifies their reputation as a provider of high-quality ophthalmic care and ocular surgery in the area.

Dr. Smith was born and raised in Fort Worth. After graduating from Baylor University magna cum laude, he went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. His desire to elevate the human aspect in healthcare led to his induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, and his pursuit of a fellowship in cataract and glaucoma surgery at the Dean McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Dr. Smith is also skilled in using advanced lasers to treat cataracts and glaucoma. Some of his other specialties include trabeculectomy, tube shunts, and combined cataract-glaucoma surgery.
